I’m guessing the corona virus is going to cause the classic car market to fall on it’s face. That’s not a bad thing really.

Absolutely counting on this to finally get my P car!

I think i t’s going to depend on the duration, if it’s not too long, then the market won’t cool too much. On the other hand, people might be looking for them as investments and the market might get hotter.

With how many were stored away, I wonder if this is in top 5% for most miles with 25k miles?

I wish no ill or death on anyone, and no job loss too. Though if this cooled off the local real estate market I wouldn’t be mad.

they had a 15k mile 94 supra TT 6MT do $126k today too though. slightly undervalued imo but pretty solid showing given the economy right now

A lot of more pedestrian auction cars are falling flat now. The market for Pork and other cars has needed correction for awhile now. If this brings it about, that’s ok. Maybe parts prices will settle back to reality too.

This hurts me in the nuts. This is almost exactly the same spec I drive for track days. Was hoping there was some equity in it still if I wanted to move to a used cup car. Apparently not. Cup car prices have gone insane.

How many miles?

The bad news is the prices are coming down to reality.
The good news is it provides more of a reason for these cars to be enjoyed on the road and track.

I don’t know if the market would crash but I could see supply increasing as this panic might scare some owners into moving on and not buying another.

The prices are interesting because it is putting a squeeze on the price range of these cars. A nice 2016 C2S will set you back $70k. So in between $70k and $120k you have to fit the C4S, cab, C4 cab, turbo, turbo S, GT3 and all of the different trim levels plus condition/miles.
I mean this one pretty much lives it’s life at the track, with occasional DD duty. It has a track alignment so you have to be alert on the street. Plus with Cup 2 R tires, those wear out like crazy. It’s already been accepted that it would never be a garage queen. Even after the first month, straight to the track. They are too much fun to drive to let it sit.

I think ~16-20k
